Default Did Mr. Titus Shave? Not very well...

Is a Titus still worth as much when he's missing half of the stache?

I was thinking the same thing last night Waz! What a spot for the lone speck of paper loss on this card.

Default Did Mr. Titus Shave? Not very well...

John Titus's mustache was one of the last from around the time of that picture until 1972, so maybe one of MLB's mustache policemen before the Oakland A's revived facial hair wanted to censor the card! Also of note, Titus was one of the last players to use one of Cap Anson's old bats (found in The Sporting News of May 25, 1911, by another historian, Robert Schaefer). Titus got the bat from teammate Pat Moran, a Chicago player through 1909.

Sounds like Titus was old school on multiple accounts.

The buyer, s***h, seems to be stocking up on this card. Over the past few years he's been very busy buying Titus cards from eBay.

Titus lost his razor or has "got milk". Any T206 Titus seems to do well nowadays...
