@ MattyC: Some day i will get me a Gehrig, like the one posted. Some day.

Despite loving post-war, i seen some great looking one here so far and amazed by them.
That ghost stuff is bizarre by all means.

Finally got these two this year. Charlie Bennett's history with Detroit is really interesting. I love the n28 set - just wish I could afford the Anson. I'm one of the weirdos who likes the '34 Goudeys more than the '33's.
And I'm drooling over that t227 Cobb - wow!

Definitely my 1924 Diaz Cigs partial Indians run. Can't wait till I track the last 3 down (Bedgood, Morton, Donohue)

Ken, Is the Hartford Blue CDV encased in a candy dish, ashtray, or something similar...?
Such a cool piece, do you know if it was released like this, or encased by a collector?

Can't compare to some but I'm happy for being into vintage for the last couple of years. Sorry for the size. My scanning abilities are an SGC 20.

I know it's not pre-war .... BUT ... when I bought this lot on Ebay ... it was hundreds of ripped up little bits. (I only even bid because there were two 4 card sections). When I got it, I started to realize some of the pieces belonged together, and then more, and then more. Here is the final view (using every piece in the lot).

So not pre-war ... but loved the fun of solving a real baseball card jig saw puzzle!

Daniel, it is encased in an old glass dome paperweight, by a collector at some point. I have thought about trying to remove it (and have it authenticated - I'm about 50/50 on whether or not it's truly period), but I'm afraid it would destroy it. It's an interesting item, and displays really well, as is.
