Default t206 Hal Chase...finally added all 5 of them...show off your Chases from all sets

Well it's not amazing but it definitely means something to me. I'm proud to say that I've added all 5 of the t206 Hal Chase poses and I thought I would share it with the board. I know the backs are not that rare, but some are different and for that, they are special to me. It is the Hal Chase blue portrait that is my favorite with the double "New York" being that the registration is way off. I also thought it would be a nice idea for others to show off their Hal Chase cards from other sets. One of my favorites is the 1915 Cracker Jack Hal Chase.photo 2-3.jpg

Nice! Like you, I know there are harder to find cards out there. But I'm close to my Chase run (which isn't as impressive as yours) needing only the pink portrait. Just forgot to bid on a P/F one on eBay that went for under $20.00 ... still kicking myself.

Guess I really need to sign up for one of those snipe services.

Nice cards.

Great set, Wazoo. I like the 2 Chase portrait T206s also (and I don't even collect T206). Here is my one and only Chase - which I just picked up.

chase with loving cup and the story behind it might be my favorite card of the T206 set…plus I think it gives us some perspective of the perception of the times in that he had more different poses than any other player.

From a LOTG auction description:
This example, the "holding trophy" variation, depicts Chase receiving a silver "loving cup," a gift given to him at his 1909 debut after he spent several weeks in the hospital, suffering from a mild form of smallpox.

Here's a pretty easy front with a not so easy back even with the condition issues.

Great card, and it's raw. I love the feel of those Coupon Type-1s.

Default For starters......

This Chase is my all-time favorite T206 image and I have been searching for many years for the DRUM card of Chase to complete my Quintuplicate sub-set.
For all I know, this Chase card may have never been printed with a DRUM back.....and, I've been on a "wild goose" chase for 35 years.

Really happy for you that you got all 5 of the Chase cards. As a Yankee collector, I too had to get all 5 of them to have a complete 28-card Yankee team set of T206. They are the first 5 cards at the top of my first plastic sheet of this team set (yes, ALL my cards to in plastic sheets). Again, great cards, glad you got them.

Congrats, waz...always nice to complete anything t206!

I just completed my t206 Chase run at the beginning of the year. My last one was white cap and a few months later I picked up a second one! Weird how that works sometimes

Jeff....I am in love all over again on your T216s......The VE and blank back are really great....and the Mino....all of 'em. I am to those (almost) as 'ole Johnny is to T206 scraps.

Nice cards.
I have a Pink Portrait for sale ending tomorrow night.

Not to be a spoil sport, but this was a 3 year old thread that was just revived. It would be interesting to know if cozumeleno finished his run though.
