Default Vintage Basketball

Changing gears here a bit. Hope you all don't mind. Hopefully some of the vintage basketball collectors will chime in and post some pics.

This is a recent pick up. 1929-30 Oshkosh All Stars. An early powerhouse of the professional teams. Branch McCracken and Bud Foster went into the basketball Hall of Fame. "Boob" Darling is in the football Green Bay Packers HOF. The image originates from the Schneider family.

A couple of pics of the Germantown Spiders from the 1890's, during that golden decade of basketball's infancy. One of these guys, Al Glassey, went on to play pro ball.

Brooklyn Pros 1921-22. Honey Russell, middle of back row, in in the HOF. Bruggy and Riconda, sitting at right end, both played major league baseball.
