If you bid they are free. If you don’t they charge (as they should).

All the catalogs, but particularly the heritage ones, are very expensive to print. Sending them free to people who bid is an imperfect, but not unreasonable way to filter out the people who actually might spend money, from those who are just looking to get the catalog for free.

Agree. Bid $1,000 on a card that will sell for $50,000 and you are set for a while.

Default Heritage Catalogs

Glad to hear catalogs are arriving. Yes, you can get a free catalog if you email me your mailing information at peterc@ha.com and we will send one out. If you would like to keep getting catalogs, all we ask is that you bid $1,000 in each catalog auction and we will keep sending them. No, you are not required to win a lot but you won't hurt our feelings if you do.

Some highlights of our recent auction that ends on November 16-18:

- Lot #1 – Unique 1888 "Red Stockings" Cigars Charles Radbourn;
- A great selection of 19th Century including N172 Old Judge, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, N184 Kimball plus N28s, N29s, N43s, N300s and four rare baseball currency pieces;
- 1888 N403 Yum Yum Tobacco Roger Connor;
- A fresh collection of E90-1 American Caramels with Jackson and Upp;
- 1909-11 T206 Uzit Ty Cobb (Bat Off Shoulder) PSA VG-EX 4;
- The #2 "All-Time Finest" PSA Registry Set of 1915 E106 American Caramel cards;
- T206s of course. Singles, groups, partial sets;
- A newly discovered T206 Piedmont Sherry Magee "Magie" Error SGC 50 VG/EX 4;
- 1910 Dockman & Son "All Star Base-Ball Package" Complete Box with Mathewson and Coombs;
- A selection of very high grade 1915 Cracker Jack cards including Joe Jackson in SGC 92 NM/MT+ 8.5;

I've bid for years and years(even won several times), the catalogs used to arrive, but stopped about 18 months ago. I called (several times) but still no catalogs (or even a return phone call) so now I bid about half the value of a lot, just in case, but obviously no wins. Lots of other places to spend my money.

I got an empty box catalog and 2 loose books separately. Wondered why there were almost no cards listed, seems someone kept that volume.

Hi Anthony,

I you saw "almost no cards listed" then you are missing something. The Session One card catalog is almost 600 pages. We will send you another copy.

I, too, got an empty box. No visible damage to the box or tape. I emailed Heritage asking for a replacement.

Hi Bob,
I tracked your catalog and it says a 9lbs box was delivered? Not sure why you got an empty box. I've asked for replacements to be sent.

I’ve gotten less than an empty box. Is the left coast being boycotted?

I hate it when that happens.
I think the mailman dropped mine in our driveway and it made a small hole in the concrete from the weight.
