Default t206 blank backed jennings goodwin auction

Hello all...

sorry i didn't post the link, but did anyone see the crazy price of the hughie blank backed t206 in the Goodwin auction?(#313)..... $3100 with the juice??

i love blank backed t206, but someone had a bidding war i think

anyway, any thoughts??jennings back collectors filling a big hole??

When you have at least two people who want something and neither is too concerned about what it "should" go for, anything can happen. Strong price IMO but I am not a Jennings, T206 or back collector.

Mike......that was my estimate... i didn't bid on this tho....

Jeff......true..... i have seen many items go for more than they "should" go for..... i hear ya!!i have been envolved in those scenarios myself


just have been seeing these t206 backs appreciate exponentially!!!economy is not affecting them IMO...strong prices in these big auction forums

I remember in the 1980's, 1990's these did not command a big premium.

you could buy blanks 2 years ago for about 500-including southern leaguers.

Blank backs are as tough as Drum but never brought the money because there was no ad-I guess that had finally changed. I still need one with a HOFer..
