I had emailed him. He said he is taking it down. We'll see.

I like the "Conigliaro?". How can you guarantee an autograph when you are not even sure who it belongs to?

He did pull it. At least I am reassured there are sellers who do make honest mistakes out there.

yeah, I had emailed him and he got back to me and said he'd take it down. Score one for common sense for all involved.

And then he just relisted it (with a disclaimer):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-RAWL...66905279932583

In any event, it's a pretty sad-looking ball, so we'll see if anyone thinks it's worth his $9.99 starting bid.

I sent him a message after he relisted, he changed the category to reprint as well as added this to the description " I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT IS NOT HAND SIGNED, BUT IS FACSIMILE SIGNED."

I LOVE how he has "Mantle" in the title and then in the listing he says...

THE MANTLE IS JUST ABOVE THE WORD *OFFICIAL* AND IS EXTREMELY LIGHT SO DONT EVEN COUNT IT.

LOL!!

I like how these guys still want to leave that bit of hope in the bidders mind that they are real even though they try to disclaim as possible fakes. Same as the guys that have 52 Mantle reprints and say "I bought these at a garage sale and I paid a lot for them. I do not know if they are real, but I am selling them as reprints."
