Not a card, but possibly unique. Finding a baseball player on a gem tintype is extremely unusual, finding a team is unprecedented, to my knowledge. This one is definitely 1860s vintage. Gem tintypes measure approximately 1" x 1". This one is 3/4" x 15/16".

I thought you might like this one, Leon.

Picked up these two, helping to round out the whole picture of LEAF and it's offerings.

Great pick up, Gary. Love the really early stuff...

You could make a locket for it and wear it around! Was that what it was originally intended for?

There were albums specifically made to hold this size image. However, I wouldn't be surprised if some found their way into lockets.

Great pick up Gary (glad it went to a good home). Yes, certainly 1860s not 1875. I have 3 gem types all single portraits and I have never seen one with more than 1 player let alone an entire team.

Tom Jones, The Prince of Wales

Now I'm going to go listen to "What's New Pussycat?" ten times, but mix in one "It's Not Unusual."

Default E91-a Johnny Kling American Caramel

Thrilled to have grabbed this E91-a Johnny Kling American Caramel off of eBay with a BIN!

Centering, registration, and corners are outstanding!

Will make a nice companion piece to go along with my Bresnahan E91-a. Both cards actually resemble the players!

Default T206 Peaches Graham

Picked up another Peaches Graham T206 that has all the red markings on the uniform to go with my other Graham T206 which only has the red marking on the right wrist but is missing the red on his hat, collar, and at the elbows of the uniform.

Patrick, nice Kling, and you are correct that they both resemble the faces of the players!

Some raw Kentucky boys from a board member!
Very excited about these as I spent half my life in KY and know all the Bluegrass League towns very well and have family in a couple of them. My OCD has always kept me away from the T210’s, but what the hell, a few won’t hurt!
Thanks,
Bob
