Default What can ruin a card's grade? Show them here!

I wanted to start a thread, similar to the undergraded thread, that showcases cards which have been graded exceedingly low due to certain factors (such as back damage). While the cards deserve these grades according to the criteria, I know there are many beauties out there with sharp edges and blazing colors...that happened to be pasted in an album and as a result have some harsh back damages.

I want to start out by showing off this Zack Wheat T205 in my collection. While the front is nothing short of incredible, the back really did it in on the grade! I still bought it simply for the front, and got it at a great price. Anyone else want to share?

Minor paperloss on the reverse of each accounts for the grades:

I just got this one in the mail and though I don't profess to know how TPG's judge strip cards, I think this one would have faired a little better had it not been for the writing on the back.

I can't see what gave this card a 30-a very slight crease lower left corner, and dingy corners, but overall I thought it would get a 40 for sure.

Slight indentation on the bottom of the card and a stain on the back - I will take OJ's like this all day regardless of the grade...

Default 1914-15 Cracker Jacks Tris Speaker...

The few cards I own were purchased as companion pieces for my vintage original TYPE I photographs. So I was thrilled to find this Speaker graded SGC 10 due to paper loss on the verso. The eye appeal though is spectacular once placed side by side with the TYPE I photo.

This isn't baseball, but got hammered for some paper loss on the back.

Just one small gouge. At the top, right of center looking at the back. Shows up as a small flattened spot on the front

Has a tiny cut on the bottom border (to the right of the word "Nat'l"). Otherwise, a "prodigious" card.

Lovely Day...

Nice for an E107. Hammered by the paper loss that wipes out his position (sub). But the image is nice and the back is fine.
