Default Reds 1936 Throwback Uniform

Thoughts anyone? Personally I was feeling the 1936 "Palm Beach Alternate" getup today. Then again I was at the Indians/Orioles game last night and might still be suffering from heatstroke.

Just caught the video. It’s not my favorite look for them, but pretty cool on a hot sunny day.

I still prefer their 1956 Vests with Mr. Red on the breast. That’s probably my favorite throwback jersey of any team, followed by the Houston Colt .45s “Smoking Pistol” Home Jersey.

Love the Colt .45s' jersey. This Reds jersey looked cool because it was unusual. If they wore it every Sunday I would get sick of it pretty fast.

Cool for one day. But put those things back in the deepest part of the locker room and don't bring them out for another 50 years.

Too bad they didn't wear the satin version:

The Reds looked like a beer-league softball team.

Haha! Glad they opted against the satin nightgown version.

I don't love that particular look, but as long as they are reasonably historically accurate, I think it's a cool and educational thing for the team to do.

Love the throwback uniforms. Personally, I'm not a fan of the uniforms they've been wearing for the last few years.

I say they bring back a remix of the 1919 or 1939 uniforms. Reds have so much history they should keep it simple like the old days. That's what makes the Red Sox, Yankees, and Cubs uniforms great in my opinion.

Here's a link with all of the Reds throwback uniforms:

That's a good remix but the 1936 is really growing on me so I'm adding that to your remix. Maybe it's because I'm 36. So long as they have the old school socks. Love the modern players who make it a point to rock those.

I have a 64 Colts jersey, a Jim Wynn. I love the design but cant wear it at work. I think they think the gun might jump off the jersey or something.
