Default What's the best place to find cards? BESIDES EBAY!

Posted By: BlackSoxFan

What do you think?

Besides eBay we are essentially left with shows (not many of which i go to - except of course the big boy), online, and word of mouth?

I guess you could divide online into two cateogries - auction websites and dealer sites. Which ones do you visit and who do you buy online? Do you ever pay the quoted price or do you try and make a deal?

In terms of dealers: I regulary check Mike Wheat and 707 because they always have a good selection of Cobb cards, at little expensive though. I just purchased a Crawford from GFG (Dave's Vintage) this morning.

Let it be known what you're looking for, and frequently, a board member will come to your aid. Trevor Hocking, Brian Hodes, Jay Miller, Scott Forrest, Ryan Christoff--just off the top of my head...

I usually try, of course i found out that a board member had the 1960 Lakes Aaron card in high grade we've been looking to add to our collection..since it falls outside of Pre-War i don't mention it on here. Of course, Black Sox and W514's are always of interest to me!
