Default Artistic Diamond Stars Melillo

Sometimes a card with marking can be even more interesting than one without. The card on the left is how the Melillo card normally looks...I have always liked the stylized skyscrapers in the background. The card on the right had the blocks of colors and various other details skillfully outlined, even the card's border, giving it almost a cartoon-like effect.

Just neat, and had to share.

Brian

Your Melillo looks better than most of the "modified" cards I've seen. With the thin black lines added, it reminds me of Bowmans from 1950-52. When I was a kid in the early 1970s, hair styles were changing, and kids routinely added afros and sideburns to the players pictured on cards. A few years back, I picked up a lot of "colorized" Remars ...

I just realized that this card is reminiscent of a compartmentalized paint by numbers painting. And I kinda like the look of a well done paint by number painting.

Could possibly get more than a similarly conditioned Melillo if you auctioned/sold it off. I would pay a little more for it (hint, hint).

I plan on keeping it because I really do like it, but always good to know there are others out there that appreciate it as well.

Absolutely!

An outlined version would make a spectacular reprint set.
