Default Shameless Plug: 108 Magazine

Posted By: Dan Bretta

http://www.108mag.com/

I got my first issue in the mail yesterday - The Spring issue and this magazine is fantastic for those who love to read about the history of the game....some of the articles in the Spring issue were on the Nebraska Indians (That's how I found the magazine -thank you GOOGLE), Alta Weiss, and the 1906 Cubs and White Sox. The quality of the magazine is up there with Old Cardboard...and I just noticed that Mark Rucker is the photo consultant for them. Apparently it is on the newstands at Barnes and Nobles too so you can check it out before you buy it.

If the rest of the magazine is like the Piersall article, then they have a good thing going. Any idea, Dan, how often it'll be published? Looks like this is the second number, the previous one being Summer 2006.

It is now a quarterly magazine like Old Cardboard. And just like Brett and Lyman the editor is of 108 is very accessible.

I cannot figure this out so please excuse my ignorance:

Your guess is as good as mine. I guess I should have asked the editor when I had him on the phone the other day.

Well there you go. Thanks Max...I am sure I had heard that before, but it's not something that stuck with me.
