Default 1963 Topps Kaline oddball question

A collector friend showed me this Kaline today. Is it just missing a printing plate or something else? Thanks for your input.C3029980-64F5-4E52-988C-D897825B74A6.jpg

Most likely just left in the direct sunlight too long, which bleached out the yellow hues. Could have missed the yellow color pass, but I would guess sunlight damage, personally.

Here are some other examples of what is likely the fade of green to blue mentioned by John. If you do a frorum thread search for Blue Aaron there are a couple of threads discussing this color transition/degradation

due to sun or other lights

I’d think sun faded as well.

Faded. You can make your own with a little time and sunlight.

Depends on your windows. Crappy windows will fade a card in a few months, decent windows will take several months to a year with the card placed directly in the window.

Cards faded this way stick out like a sore thump compared to real missing color cards.

Please report back with pics if possible of your experiment.

Let's just say that I forget they are in there, they've been in the windows for maybe a decade by now.

I would still like to see them. Especially if you done different year cards as they fade differently in my experience.

Over the years I have experimented with a lot of different years. Unfortunately I never kept notes and my memory has gone downhill fast the last couple years.

I did post pics of a 58 Aaron I faded that got people to stop paying scammers huge premiums for a altered card. That one(mine) was not faded with the sun though.
