My morning newspaper had a article about collector Dave Eskenazi. I know some of you know him, and he's the guy on eBay who outbids people for PCL stuff.

"I'm just the caretaker of all this stuff," he said. "There's not going to be a Viking funeral with me taking all this with me."
A great read. Sounds like a hell of a guy.

The article was on the front page of the Comics/Arts section and it had a big picture of him, so he got his publicity.

David R

My friends in Seattle have advised that Dave E appeared in the Sports section (no doubt an homage to his athletic prowess )

No Viking funeral? Hmmm. Here is a photo from the last time I saw Dave E in Seattle

I can tell you there probably were no Vikings last named Eskenazi, and only rarely did Berzerkers jump from suit cases. Though there is the story about the short-lived Viking tribe who wore the horns on the inside of their helmets.

Max - that looks like your reaction when they tried to give you beef teriyaki at Ichiban last time I saw you.

I heard a rumor that we may run into each other at the Mariners game on Sunday...

Jeff

For those who haven't read Raincheck, it's a recommended historic read on the PCL. Dave is the primary contributor for the card/memorabillia images. You can get a copy on Amazon for around ~$13.
