Oh man, the hand in that picture, given Eddie's fate, is down right creepy.

He's also got to be one of, if not the only player, ever to hold a law degree from Harvard while playing professional baseball.

One of the most unappreciated figures in baseball history, I have always picked up Eddie Grant cards when I can find them.

I always thought it was shame that the Giants didn't transport and keep the plaque honoring Eddie Grant when they moved from the Polo Grounds in New York to San Francisco. I feel they lost a bit of their history by not doing so.

Default Great Man!

Eddie was a Captain in the 77th Infantry Division (now called the 77th Sustainment Brigade) and died alongside 1,485 others in his Division (Statue of Liberty Division). Incredible man! Rest in Peace Eddie.
