Default Need help ID’ing 70s Padres

I have a small stack of these but can’t find them on ebay or in any publications. Does anyone know where I can read up on them?

They are 10x16 and printed on linen paper.

Thanks in advance, Joe

What does the artist signature say? Blank-backed?

Some gas stations used to put out oversized premiums. Maybe that's what this is?

If it helps, they're from 1978 as that is the only season the club wore that particular uniform.

That helps a lot. Maybe they were created to help promote the new jerseys?

Just reached out to a friend who worked for the Padres in that time frame. Unfortunately looks like I may need to wait to hear more. His reply was "Long Story. Some day I'll tell you about them". Certainly an intriguing answer though.
