Default Post Your Best Looking Miscut or Badly o/c card...

I always like these threads & was wondering if you have a treasured card in your pc that has bad centering or a mis-cut edge but still works for you. One of the cards that reminds me of this was that wide top to bottom green Cobb portrait posted a few weeks ago. Thanks for sharing if you so choose.

I don't mind miscut cards at all, especially at the bargain prices they're often selling for ...

I may just be out of the loop, but is there a reason why some miscut t206' such as the Spade (with Cicotte) that is shown above have a different player on the sheet above them. While others, such as this Cobb

http://www.legendaryauctions.com/Lot...px?lotid=79284

was printed with the same card above it?

I believe the images on a T206 sheet were printed two players to a vertical column. Each of the two images would have been printed multiple times. For example vertical columns could have looked like this:

A C E
A C E
A C E
A C E
B D F
B D F
B D F
B D F....etc

With this sheet setup there are more opportunities for a miscut with the same name top and bottom and only one position on the sheet (the middle) where a miscut would result in two different names top and bottom.

Although I am not an Obak collector I love the depth and intensity of the colors on some of them.

Your Blue Chase is really cool, with the " Zimmermann, Chicago Nat'l " lettering on the top of it. It's certainly different from the typical repeating
names on most of the T206's.

Thanks foir sharing this one.

Default Miscut "in half"

Regarding the T206s that are miscut basically in half (which are all very sweet, by the way)... how is it that SGC graded @mrvster's card as a 20 and all of the others as A?

Hi Jamie- The Pirate cards match up with the T215-1 Red Cross, and consist of 350/460 series T206 subjects, brown captions (name & team designation)...I'd say that is one rare Pirate Meyers!!! A beautiful card. Very similar, but IMO not a T206 (others will disagree?).......*please disregard my explanation if you already knew this and were just kidding*

My contribution to this thread pales in comparison to just about everything shown but this Lajoie is miscut, under a loupe I was able to see that there are the bottom of the letters Lajoie, Cleveland.....couldn't tell with out the loupe though, as they are barely visible. The Bresnahan I think is my most O/C card (still love it though). GREAT STUFF EVERYONE !!!!!

Hi Jamie,
All 5 of the cards posted have Piedmont 350 backs and are from the same NY find from 6-7 years ago.... I do have 12-15 Old Mill's with huge borders, but don't think Stephens is among them.... Let you know.
Hope you are well Brian

Here are a few more.... Sheckard has Goode on the side... no fries....

PS I'd post more, but I've been really busy....
