Default Help identifying this 4-in-1 card

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

Impulse buy on eBay this morning. Then I realized these 4 players never played at the same time. I was thinking a 1938 - but that wouldn't have Lemon.

Anyone know what this is? I think I'm out $20.

"Amy", the ex-girlfriend, has 8 feedback. She is selling some knick-knacks, and 2 ball cards, that, and a Pete Rose rookie card that is screaming reprint. She didn't say it was a 1939 card, she said her ex had a 1939 sticker on it.

Wish you well with Amy... let us know how it resolves.

I know it is my fault for not researching it prior to purchase. But the seller listed the card in the 'Pre War Era'. Not as a 1977 card. I see fault on both ends here. I think a simple refund before the card is mailed out is the best solution. Seller still thinks it's a real card though?

Here is the seller's response.

"ummm i think the person whom emailed you this is getting something confused. I just went and looked up 1977 bob feller on ebay..just to see what is coming up. Yes Jim Rowe made a reprint exhibit card in 1977 of this original...but i think you can see the difference between the two cards. I will be sending your money back but think you just let a good deal go. Sorry for any hassle and take care. Give me a moment to get the refund sent back."

The "ex-girlfriend/wife selling off their boyfriend's/husband's" cards is right up there with the old "found these cards in my grandpa's attic" scam on eBay - I'm sorry to see you get taken like that.

With that said, good luck in seeking a refund from "Amy"...

Got a fast refund already. Seller was still convinced 'her' card was real/genuine prewar etc etc though. She said I am missing out on a steal and now plans to get it graded and resold... Yeah right. Thanks guys for your help. That was fast and painless. -1 on Sunday morning impulse buys. Lesson learned...

Good ending. And a good lesson. For all of us. We are all still learning. I think I'm about to purchase a similar problem.

Last lesson like that was a couple of years ago on a jersey that I thought/hoped was a Kitty League jersey from the 50's, I eventually decided it was a jersey for a city all star team for 16 to 18 year olds. I did manage to return the jersey and get a refund.
