Default Turkey Red source photos

Hi all,

Please assist if you can. I'm working on a very nice Turkey Red project. One of my goals is to locate as many Turkey Red source photos as possible. I'm not specifically interested in purchasing the original photos, however I am willing to discuss this. I am more interested in simply being able to use the photos in a publication. If you're the owner, I'm happy to give you credit. If you just have a photo saved on your computer and would agree to send me a copy, that would be excellent as well.

I'm guessing that amongst all the collectors here, we can come up with quite a few. Thank you in advance for your help. It's a worthwhile project, and once complete, will certainly be enjoyed.

Thanks,
Craig Diamond

many of the photos used for T3s were Conlon photo like this one

Jay

I like to sit outside, drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home, I would be arrested. So, I go to baseball games and fit right in.

Craig -

I don't know who took the original Slim Sallee photo - it's credited to 'Pictorial News Co.' - but you can see that the photo in his T222 card was used (and enhanced) for his T3. Good luck with your project.

Bill

Craig,
Received your e-mail re T-3's for sale last week but my hard drive went for a major doodoo before I could respond. Have a new computer now and am back on line but with no access to old e-mails. Could you please e-mail me again so I can pick up where you left off? Thanks.
David McD.

Many were Conlon photos as previously stated. I know that Terry Knouse (Tik-n-Tik) has a notebook that shows images of many of the T3 proofs and he has or has had many of the proofs himself. Might be worth a shot asking him. Not to mention, he really knows his stuff.

Craig
The T3 Mathewson Image is from a 1906 Photograph taken by Photographer N.W. Penfield. The photo is pictured on page 216 of the Smithsonian baseball Book.
Good Luck
Jerry
