Default Opinion on e90-1 Plank

Posted By: Sean

Hello everyone...I picked this guy up off eBay and just wanted to know what everyone here thinks of it before I send it off to SGC. I'm fine with receving an AUT grade, but this is my first e90 card. It seems to have the same thickness has a T206, the corners appear to be trimmed(?) and the name and border are pretty sharp black. Anything I can look for to authenticate?

Thanks!
Sean BH

Assuming it is not trimmed and authentic may grade an SGC 20. The color looks off. Maybe it's the scan but if accurate this may be a reprint.

My thoughts exactly, hopefully it's a bad scan, otherwise the color is wrong.

Thanks for the replies.
The background is a bit lighter and more blue but other wise that is the color or the card. It is a bit different from my e106 Plank. Should the borders and name be so sharp and bold black, to me it seems a bit to clean.

The corners are definitely trimmed. Which leads to the question of "why would anyone trim corners to round on a real card?" However, the creasing looks consistent with standard wear. It would receive an "AUTH" grade at best if it is real. If it is real, it's worth submitting. If not, you're out only 10 bucks on grading (more for the purchase price, of course).

The top looks like it extends into what would have been the card above it as it has the black border showing (on the back). I have never seen a reprint that is so miscut on the back. Unless the scan is playing tricks with my eyes it is real.

The back does have a black line from what appears to be another card (no scan tricks there), and the corners seemed trimmed and I'm not sure why? That's what kind of threw me off the most. I will be sending it in this week (e's are on special at SGC) the seller only told me it was authentic and that's what I expect to get.

Thanks for the help!
