Default 1926-29 vs. 1927-29 Exhibits

Relatively dumb question, but I see on both the SGC and PSA pop reports that there are some 1927-29 Exhibits listed. Was this a recent update or was this changed long ago?

In other words, I assume that there is no distinction between Exhibit cards that fall under those dates (1927-29) vs. the others that more typically are listed with a 1926-29 date. Is this correct?

I'm surprised the TPG's didn't just lump them all together after the fact (much like the old flips on "1915 M101-5's" converting them all to 1916 on their population reports).

Thanks in advance for any help.

In a nutshell, the date 27-29 was an early guess that was wrong but that the TPGs took up. Careful research indicates a date more like 1925-31 on various iterations of the set.
