As most you know, this is the toughest Piedmont back and tougher to find than many
of the T206 backs such as CYCLE, EPDG, Brn. HINDU, OLD MILL, TOLSTOI, etc.

I will start with my 3 cards.....

Let's see how many we can display.....show us your PIEDMONT 460/42 cards ?

Great going HAL

Scot Reader is certainly correct regarding this card being a "Super Print".

Now, if I can only find a Red Cobb with a SOVEREIGN 460 back ?

I think it might be a tad tougher than this "baby" you have on display.

Thanks Hal for sharing it with us.

I have a Joss pitching with the piedmont 460 fac 42. I didn't even know it was a fac 42 when I bought it many years ago.

i have found that a lot of P-42's have lighter blue printing on the back, versus a dark bold strike...interesting.

DREW and BILL

This is commonplace, that many do not realize that their T206 collections have a few of these
rare PIEDMONT 460/42 cards. When I broke up my 2nd set (520 cards) a year ago to start to
collect only Piedmonts, I found two of these backs that I did not even realize I had.

Just think about how many of these rare cards are out there in T206 sets that collectors are
unaware of.

Michael,
You are right that a lot of the Piedmont 42s have light blue print. Another characteristic is that a disproportionate number of the ones that have dark blue print are off center to the right.

Hi Michael,
I have over 2100 T206's at the moment, and have been collecting rare backs for over 20 years. I'm in the process of building a T206 set with as many rare backs as possible. A super set is my goal, and it will be a life long pursuit. Be well Brian

You can see some of my set on the PSA Registry under Carolinabrights.

Good luck on the tough back set. I stopped buying Piedmonts (except for a 42) in about 1993. Just because I enjoy making my collecting life difficult. Only 15 to go (plus the Big 4).

Hi Judson,
I actually broke up my T206 set several yaers ago to start this crazy quest. I had every card but Wagner, and of course the Doyle, which when I started the set hadn't been found. I have owned 2 Magie's and 1 Plank(that I regret selling)otherwise the set is not to hard to collect. Good luck on your collecting goals. Be well Brian

PS If your bidding on rare backs on EBAY, you may want to LMK so we don't kill each other on cost.

BRIAN and JUDD

The 3 of us seem to think in similar ways. I broke up my set a year ago this month to....
"enjoy making my collecting life difficult". But, I chose to put together a T206 set as a
function of the three Series (150-350-460) and comprised of only Piedmont cards. It's
been a lot of fun to "complete" this set of 518 cards; but, certainly not as tough as the
challenge you guys have in your pursuits.

Thanks, JOEY

Your Chance card is the 4th one of the six "Super Prints" in the T206 set, that we
have accounted for with the Piedmont 460/42 back.

We still need Chase (blue) and Evers (bat-Chicago) to complete these "Super Six".

Thanks for your pretty comprehensive list on these Piedmont 460/42 cards.

I will add Chase (blue bkgd.) to your list.....all the other 5 Super Prints are included
in your list; therefore, there is a high probability that Chase will show up, too.

That's a beauty of a Kleinow too... mine has a Sweet Cap Factory 42 back and resides in an SGC10 holder.
