Default Some Recent 19th Century Football Photo pickups

Posted By: Keith

Just wanted to share some of the photos I picked up recently. I love these old football photos but am running out of room

1. 1894 Nebraska U. Football player Otis Whipple

2. 1893 University of Penn football player

3. 1898 Purdue University End Rushers photo (thanks to board member Tom for this one) With the help of Purdues sports information department, I identified the players as J.W. Raub and W. Galloway, the starting ends for the 1898 team.

4. 1892 Lake Forest College football team photo - I am guessing by the looks of them that this team wasn't the toughest out there.

5. 1898 Milton Academy football team photo. This is a very large photo with teh board measuring about 20.5 inches by 16.5 inches. Is there a name for a photo this size? Imperial cabinet?

thanks guys
Keith
