Default 1864 knickerbocker nine 1939 news photo - Price Reduction

1864 KNICKERBOCKER NINE 1939 NEWS PHOTO - Price Reduction

The 1st Organized Baseball Club in America. A Vintage wire photo that was issued by International News Photos in 1939 during Baseball's Centennial featuring the Knickerbocker Nine. The Original press stamp and caption is on the reverse of this photo measuring 10" in length. Along with being the first organized ball club, they are also credited for wearing the first baseball uniforms. Strong contrast and clarity on this panoramic sepia tint photograph that would look outstanding framed. Very attractive piece with just a small boarder tear on the right hand margin (does not go into the image).

I purchased this and the a Henry Yee auction a few years back and paid $370 for it. I will let it go delivered for Price Reduction (was $245) now $195.
