Reprints are IMO the work of the devil.

What amazes me is that someone actually paid for that garbage.

The buyer sure is missing something. His brain.

Looks like a 0 feedback bidder was bidding it up.

The forgers are attempting to create a market, using shill bidding. What amazes me is that he/she is from LA, not Ohio or Kentucky.

Do not be shocked if the card turns up in a local auction house or bid board described as "authentic."
There is a market for fakes. People have been buying them up on the memorabilia/autograph side for years and profiting on them by dumping them in places where the consignor is anonymous and the buyer is stuck under a "no refunds, no returns policy." |

I have a pair of socks that have been professionally aged, maybe I can get a $151 bid for those.

Regardless of how they marketed this (aged, distressed, whatever!) they are still obvious counterfeits so if they do end up in an auction house, any serious collector would know to avoid them. There are pretty scary counterfeits out there but IMO these are pretty obvious fakes, regardless of how they are titled in the description. My guess however, is that someone from this board is going to be reporting these same cards to ebay once they are re-listed as cards found in his "grandfather's attic"!

I am sure the winning bidder, with 0 feedback, has no ill intentions. Why do I have feeling the keyboard is the same one for the winning bidder and the seller? Weird auction for sure....

If I purchase your used socks or the ones currently listed on Ebay shown below, would washing them be considered an alteration or unethical in any way. If so, would soaking them overnight be okay.

Soaking IS permitted, but only if there are bits of scrapbook pages glued on the backs. I find that wrapping them in paper towels to help them dry and securing them in screwdowns overnight works pretty good.
