My new little slugger, Benjamin, was born Wedsday night at 7:45. His mom and I could not be happier.

Thanks for all the kind words. Only four days in and I know what you all are saying about the lack of sleep. I am grabbing a few hours when I can. The grandparents have been a great help.

Every day experiences are now magnified x 10, every kiss on his cheek swells your heart more than you knew was possible, every non-hunger based wail (its amazing but you actually get to know the difference ) wrenches that same heart so convulsively it feels torn asunder.
Here's to the mini-meals you'll feed your wife as she lies in bed desperately wanting to sleep at those surreal early morning feeds. My wife liked fruit, oatsquares, and hot cups of tea.

My very best.

Daniel

Congratulations Jim!!

Enjoy every moment, they seem to fly by. My oldest is engaged, youngest is leaving for college at the end of next month, and the "neglected" middle child moved out on his own last summer but all are doing very well.

Sleep well!!

Great news Jim. Get him started on vintage cards in 7 or 8 years. It, among other things, will keep you close for years. Chris and I started in mid 80's and still attend Nationals together. Off to Cleveland Wednesday and he is now 31.

Congrats! All the best to you and your family.

Dave, why would you want to traumatize a young boy like that?!!
Kidding, of course.

diapers and such can get expensive....

if you feel a need, I will take some of those ugly cards you have in your collection.

purely to help you out of course. Because thats the type of guy I am.

not sure why you would want to keep those horrible cards anyway - even if you didn't need the money.

(one of the coolest collections I have seen)
