Default I knew I was ahead of my time, 1933 R319 Gehrig...or part of it

It has probably been done for some time now, but until this auction, I haven't seen the financing of cards on ebay done in this manner where it states, right there next to the BIN price, how much it is per month to finance. So I guess financing isn't all that strange. cool. Now, I might opt for a full card to finance, if I were going to.., but that isn't the point....

I chuckle every time I see that photo - that card's been up there for some time and always comes up in my search results.

The price has actually come down, I believe.

You know, call me crazy, but had it been the bottom part of the card ripped off instead...I'd be considering buying it. ☺️

Yeah, I definitely think it's far less attractive without his head/name (on back). I still wouldn't pay that much for it, but would be more interested if the top part were the one intact.

I know the value could be debated, but I honestly couldn't see shelling out more than like $30 for it in this condition with the top missing. That thing has been up there forever.

I collect low grade cards. I despise PSA 7-10 cards (seriously, I avoid them. If I happen to get one by mistake it is sold as fast as I can).

But that card is even below MY standards even at $5. And WAY below my standards at $165.
