Thanks Scott, I have the entire 1953 Topps team set of the St. Louis Browns and want to re-matte it with a cut signature of each player below each card. So far I have Gordon Goldsberry and Satch of course. need help with the rest if anyone can help. I'm not asking for handouts, I'll pay for them. They dont need to be slabbed, just real. Thanks!

Bill, that's a great idea for a project. I believe most of those players are fairly common and inexpensive to get a 3x5 of. A quick check of ebay showed multiple examples of the 10 players I checked...should be easy to compare and tell the legit ones. The one player I didn't find was Earl Harrist, but I checked Kevin Keating and he has one at a decent price so I suspect you would be able to find one from someone on this board at and even better price.
Good luck.

Thanks Mike, I appreciate it! I paid $250 for the Paige and was hoping to get the rest at much more affordable prices.

Bobo Holloman didn't have a 1953 Topps card? Forgive my ignorance, but I'm not a huge vintage card guy. I know that 1953 was the year that Bobo threw his no-hitter for the Brownie's....

Bobo did play for the 53 Browns but the 53 Topps cards are for players who were on the 52' team. Bobo's 53 Topps card depicts him in an Athletics uniform.

If anyone has any of these cut sigs, please PM or email me at the email address below. Thanks!

Default Kellogg's Box with 1972 Kellogg's Grove card on back

I picked this up yesterday. It's a box of Kellogg's cereal from 1972. It has a picture of Lefty's 1972 Kellogg's All-Time Greats card right on the back. I know this is not vintage, but I thought some of you might enjoy seeing this. I had never seen anything like it before.

Oh yeah, who amongst us isn't Jonesin' for a Kelloggs Danish Go Round? No wonder that brand ended up in the branding graveyard....

Love the graphics of the girl though- she absolutely looks like 1972.... Looks like she just stepped out of the Brady Bunch.

Brad, that's an awesome box...I moonlight as a cereal box collector...that's definitely "vintage" to me.

Rob, I wonder if the guy in your postcards is a Cleveland Radio/TV guy? Was it an ebay buy? Perhaps the former owner has a clue?

Love that Kellogg's danish box -- I collected these cards as a kid, but got all mine with pretzels -- I don't recall ever seeing this box before.

That was my first thought, too. Jimmy Dudley was the main man for the Indians during that time, but the man in the photo isn't him. Still researching.

By the way, it was a sad day in my life when Danish Go-Rounds disappeared from the grocery shelves. I loved those things. How have Pop Tarts survived all these years but DGRs went by the wayside? Criminal.

Maybe it was just some dude that was way ahead of the times and wanted proof that his autographed baseballs were real?
