Default Your Wantlist

I've been trying to put together a want list for myself to keep me somewhat focused.

What're the top couple items you're actively looking for??

I'd like to get a 1936 GPC signed by Rapid Robert.

Are you looking for a single or team signed, or either? I have a 1954 Indians team signed ball with Grasso (and Bill Veeck).

Peter Sellers signed photo in a scene from Dr. Strangelove.
Any other cast member from that film in a scene from the film,, just picked up George C. Scott.

I'm always on the look out for neat Russ Van Atta and minor leaguer Jack (John) Glynn signed pieces. Just missed a cool scrapbook and signed page from Jack Glynn when he was with Birmingham in 1938...

I sold an interesting Russ Van Atta item last year that I never even knew was interesting. I think it was a Rowe postcard that he personalized to someone and then wrote a note on the back to his grandson. I forget if the person who purchased it from me was his daughter or granddaughter, but she said that Russ suffered from Alzheimer's late in life and that he must have been confused when writing this autograph as it was to someone with the same first name as his grandson. He wrote a note on the back for the grandson and mailed it back.

I had not even noticed the content of the writing on the back and am very glad that it was able to return back to the family, which is where he had thought the note was going to in the first place.

Hey that IS a neat piece. Van Atta was from where I went to High School - Sussex County, NJ. You used to be able to go into any tavern or hardware store in the county and count on seeing a Babe Ruth signed photo. The reason was Van Atta and The Babe were close pals and he used to visit Van Atta often to hunt, fish and golf.
