As easy giveaway for reprints is the color of the players name. All genuine T206 cards have their name printed in brown, even though sometimes it is dark brown. Anything in pure black is not real.

There are other issues that scream reprint to me....but for a novice looking at cards this is a great first thing to look at.

If the seller knows the the first name of the guy on the card is Honus (not mentioned on card), he knows enough to know the real card is worth a fortune. It's like if you know Albert Einstein's middle name without having to look it up, you've likely read quite a bit about Einstein, perhaps wrote a book report on him in school.

I had a seller tell me today that he does not guarantee the authenticfity of his offering, but he bought it from a trusted source, however he does not accept returns for any reason.

A genuine T206 Honus Wagner has never been offered on eBay, except by major auction houses like Sotheby's and REA. Said in reverse, excluding major auction houses like Sotheby's and REA, a genuine T206 Wagner has never been offered on eBay. Said diagonally, I'd slide off my chair.

Wasn't there a PSA 1 Wagner that made it onto Ebay maybe a year or so ago? If I remember correctly, the seller had a REAL high starting bid so it never did sell.

Based on how many T-206 Wagners I've seen on Ebay I would guestimate the current pop in all grades at1666 & counting
I figure by the time I die the number will reach 3000
