Default Chicago Logan Squares Semi-Pro Baseball Team Memorabilia

New user to this forum that is looking for help tracking down any memorabilia of an old semi-pro baseball team called the Chicago Logan Squares. They were founded by former White Sox player, Nixey Callahan, in 1906 and only lasted four years until Callahan was re-hired by the White Sox in 1910. I am a resident in Logan Square currently and would love to be able to find some memorabilia from this brief moment in time to celebrate the team. Recently attended the Chicago Sports Spectacular card show but none of the vendors had ever heard of this squad before.

First any Memorabilia from this team is going to be hard to find but.. Definitely worth the chase. I keep my eyes and ears open for early basketball items and dont think I ever saw any from this team. But stuff keeps popping up so you never know. A few years ago I picked up a couple programs from the National Highschool Championship held in Chicago from 1917 until 1928. And a board member here found a large group of Jersey Reds items from 1938 ( My home state) so you never know.

Good luck any help I can offer just send me a Privite message.

About 2 years ago I picked up a huge scrapbook with the Chicago City League box scores for the years 1906-1911. Therefore I have pretty much every box score for every game the Squares played. Below is a 1908 story and box for when they played the negro league Leland Giants. One of the most interesting aspects of the league was that there were both all white and all black teams in the league- though no teams that were made up of both blacks and whites.

I have literally hundreds of articles. If you are interested send me your email and I can send a bunch of images

I used to have this RPPC. It now lives at the Logan Square Historical Society.
