I was looking through an old auction catalog I have from when Don Steinbach's collection was sold by Mastro in 1997....Wow, he had an unbelievable collection. Anyway I noticed that he had assembled the T208 set and was wondering if it is known if anyone else had ever put the entire set together? Also wondering if the Steinbach set was still together or was it spread to the 4 corners of the earth?

that he trimmed most of his cards to fit his binders. Or am I thinking of someone else?

I have never heard that, but it's certainly possible considering the time frame in which he collected.

At least one board member is only 3 away from completion. ....They are rather low key though. Sort of like me .

Steve, I believe that it was Don McPherson is the one who cut done his cards. Lipset auctioned off his collection years ago.

McPherson was a wonderful guy and a great trade buddy from the early days.
