Default request for info on card...

So I'm just now getting back into collecting and came across this image of charles barnes and I like it. Before I pursue it, I was wondering if anyone has info on it as in it's size, price, availability? As usual I have a budget but since I was outbid on a couple of cards at Goodwin's, I do have a couple of bucks available. Thanks for the input!

That is an 1874 Warren Studio cabinet card of Ross Barnes. I believe that they are normal cabinet size - 4-1/4" x 6-1/2" or so. It is extremely rare and very desirable. I would assume that only a few are known to exist. If one became available, there would certainly be quite a bidding war for it. Good luck with your quest, but it may be a while until one becomes turns up.

Hopefullly others with more knowledge than I will chime in.

that was my first thought but then I figured someone here should know and maybe by chance it'll be just a couple grand and/or readily available. If it takes awhile to become available, that just gives me more time to save. thanks!
