Default completing vintage sets

As I read about Chris Sullivan and how close he got to completing the E107 set I wondered that if you had a type card that he was missing, would you contact him and sell it to him to help him achieve his goal? Of the 160 possible type 1 subjects he had accumulated 147 and I believe that the registries indicate that those missing thirteen are out there somewhere. What's more important, having a virtually impossible set completed (regardless of whose hands it is in) or having a lone example of an E107 in your collection?

My hats off to anyone who collects a set like E107; surely it is quite frustrating.

Lastly, is Ed Poole really short or was the camera operator just having fun with him? Why is his head so low on the card?
