Is Ebay being hacked into ??

Ok I have been having some problems with my Ebay account. Noone has taken the account over, but after visiting Ebay pages to bid and look at items, my computer was infected with 10 malware or spyware programs that were a huge pain in the butt to get rid of. My friend is a network security wiz, and he is telling me that hackers are embedding these programs into auctions, and onto picture hosting sites. I've emailed Ebay to see what hey have to say about the whole thing. Also I have received several fake "outbid" notices in the last week or so, so be careful if you often open your Ebay outbid notices, and then click on the link that says bid again.

Ebay may be getting to big for itself in my opinion !! they are understaffed, and don't have the equipment to keep up with todays hackers from eastern europe. ( that seems to be where most of my problems came from....the Ukraine, Poland, Russia, one attack from England)
