Default Could use 1 more speaker at the Net54baseball National Dinner

Hey Folks
There have been a few folks that cannot speak at the dinner, who were hopeful to do it. We have 3 lined up......Mike Berkus, Josh Evans and Chris Cavalier. We have room for one more. Please PM or email me if you would like to be considered. And please don't respond with someone else who might like to. There are a million people who might want to, but unless you have spoken with them and they want to do it, please refrain. Worst case, I will do some dances from the 1980s on stage to fill in the time. That should be entertaining. Thanks much!!

Lichtman has offered to speak on "The History of Shill Bidding: from Ancient Greece to Modern America." He only requires a modest fee.

Hopefully there will be no volunteers. I would love to see Leon do the entire Thriller dance on stage.

It will be more like the worm. And it all depends on my alcohol intake at that point in the Dinner. I am usually double fisting Corona's.......

Dude, I haven't seen 'The Robot' or the 'Running Man' in a while. If you are taking requests, those would be mine

Instead of the final speaker, you should just have an open forum discussion on the vintage aspects of the hobby.

How about an open forum discussion on whether or not TPA should be allowed to stay in business.

Default Maybe????? Probably not!

Leon,
Normally I would be glad to make a special guest apperance to speak at the dinner. Sadly, I have developed a phobia of public speaking after my last two speeches. Have you ever been booed in sign language? I have. Twice! A young couple let me know their displeasure. Their hands were moving faster than a windmill in a tornado, and it didn't sound good. At a convention three months later and three hundred miles from my first encounter with them I was introduced as guest speaker. They were front row center! As I walked on stage their hands were moving; it wasn't clapping. I left the stage immediately. As for your dinner, I just can't chance it. Can you blame me? Sam Majors

I want to discuss the second printing of BOSS MAN BASEBALL

Now that is what a game should be like, before the world of computers and laptops!

It was probably more fun, than it would be now, when you were still doing the HOF rookie thing, no?

I don't know how many Negro League collectors will be at the Dinner but anything is worth a try. ......PM or email if you feel like doing something. Each speaker will get approximately 15 minutes....

I sense you're asking me to speak, Leon.

OK, I won't play hard to get, as long as I can do my Lipset impression: "Back scans? Banned!"
