That is a freaking disgrace. How can ANYone allow that to even be posted? Did you report that Richard? It needs to be pulled. What an absolute embarrassment. At least the Coach's are similar in ways at times.

I like the quote "signed in his later years"... as in "signed after he kicked the bucket".

I'm also devastated to know that all of my "Sports Mania" Authenticated material may now be called into question... darn

But the seller has 100% feedback with 491 positives, so it MUST be good, right??

Im thinking of calling that number on the COA and see who answers it. Could be a dog pound, a church, a massage parlor or anything. Regardless, pitiful.

Not even Morales, or anyone with half a sane chromosome would think that was CLOSE To a real Mantle signature. There can not be anything so bad, since the Infamous "Yogi Bear" and Baby Ruth ball a few months back.

i would be willing to bet the seller thinks it is real....

they probably bought it back in the early 90's, maybe from the home shopping channel or somewhere and are selling it now...

Pretty bad signature, even drunk Mick could sign better then that!

I don't know where you get your information but if you click the ebay link in the first post on this thread the bat is still sitting on ebay with 0 bids.

Yes, it appears it didn't sell in the live auction in PA, and now is on ebay. So, I agree w Richard, how do you figure it was sold?

My guess was that it sold locally in Pa and was then quickly posted to ebay for a quick flip, not that it ever sold on ebay. Sorry my original post was unclear.

Looks as if it was posted to ebay Sunday afternoon.

I find it amazing to even think that the bat could have been sold.
It is not even worth reporting to ebay because it won't sell on ebay.

Sad state of affairs - the bat actually sold on ebay to a buyer with over 800 feedback. You would think he would know better.
