I would treat them like any other autograph on the market. It's obvious that there are some bad ones out there, there are some badly off center ones (to the point of having some of the auto cut off) and even the wrong persons autograph on a card. If that's checking and re-checking then they're doing a poor job of it.

The buyer paid $80,000 on ebay for a card with autographs of Ruth, Cobb, Johnson and Wagner.
Two of the four were not authentic.
A battle ensued but I don't really know the outcome for the owner of the card.
UD had been buying from one dealer but then decided to go out into the marketplace to buy their autographs. This helped them to produce a number of cards with bogus autographs. They also produced many cards with autographs missing letters due to UD cutting the autograph to fit the card. This produced autographs that I would never even consider offering to my customers. Beckett has made a derogatory comment about these autographs being cut badly.
It still amazes me that there are people who buy these autograph cards, with the destruction that UD did to put them on a card.
To see some of these cards visit my Autograph News web page at:

Scroll down a ways for the UD autograph story, it is an old story and there is much newer news in front of it.
