Best horror film of all-time: The Exorcist.
I watched it as a kid and I still have nightmares to this day.

Foreign? What are your others? Hateful Eight?? Waterfront - excellent - watched many times. Change is expected. Yes, Godfather 2 over Godfather. Witness - good - disliked the ending.

If there is a better scene ever than Marlene Dietrich on the witness stand saying Damn you! Damn you! Damn you! I'd like to see it. The ending may have been a little over the top, I don't disagree, but the whole thing was just so well done, Charles Laughton was brilliant and Dietrich, for all her reputation as just a sex symbol, could act with the greats of her era.
Seven Samurai of course is Japanese, from the great Akira Kurosowa who also directed the incomparable Toshiro Mifune in Rashomon.
