Default Too cheap?...

I was watching (and almost bid on) this T206 Addie Joss, which looks like a NM+, but I was a bit skeptical. The seller has several graded cards, which he had listed for reasonable prices, so I was confused why this seemed so cheap. I contacted the seller asking him whether or not the card was trimmed and if there was any faint defects (paper loss, creases, marks, etc.). He said it is not altered and that there is no paper loss and that it is in beautiful shape (he never addressed any faint creases or marks though). What are your thoughts, did I miss a steal or avoid a disaster?

The top of the card looks trimmed to me, very uneven border. Almost appears to be wavy.

Not to hijack the thread but I am curious as I have never tried. Is it really that freakin' hard to trim a straight edge? It is amazing how many trim jobs look like they were done by a kindergartener with plastic safety scissors.

IF that card is trimmed, then his opening bid was about $50 too much!

I have wondered the same thing. I have bought a couple trimmed t206 because they presented well otherwise.

Maybe someone practiced on the Joss before scalping the Wagner!

Jarrett

I agree with the other members that the Joss looks trimmed. You made the right decision and avoided a disaster.
