Call in the FBI. IF THIS isn't a clear case of fraud, I have no clue what is.

That may be the first time I've actually seen someone steal a picture that has someone else's name blatently written across it...first time for everything I guess.

I sent him a message yesterday, before this thread. Out of a 3-4 line paragraph he probably spelled half the words correctly. Many scammers aren't too bright....He did point out his great feedback of over 93% though...

The seller has closed the auction because of an error in the listing. Yes, I guess when you try and sell something you don't own and can not deliver when the "buyer" pays for it, that IS an error.

I'm embarrassed that I actually "marked" this auction by placing a $2 bid. Hopefully, I would have looked more closely at the scan before placing a serious bid.

Thank you all for taking care of this. I was in Las Vegas for a few days and I did not look at the internet even once.

PS. Paul, thank you for the bid.

I did not look at eBay, but I did pick this thing. It was a small tournement.

When I got back, I had four notices letting me know about the scan plus two threads here. My wife was impressed that there were that many people who care.

I used to own that wonderful Gehrig card.

I hope someone pays Marty full freight for that beauty.

(And NO, I don't mean $235 like it was on EBay!)

I don't know you Marty but I certainly hope you have contacted the authorities concerning this incident.

David

PS. By authorities, I mean the FBI or the Police and NOT eBay.
