I love sarcastic assholes...therefore, I love this thread.

PS - love the centered Marichal! I will give you $66 for it. That is VCP average.

Last edited by bobbyw8469; 04-26-2016 at 04:30 AM. Reason: added footnote because I would like to purchase Marichal

well it's looking like you guys may be able to pool your "funds" and then you can split up my ultra rare...high grade CJ Johnson...brother of the famous fireballer Walter Johnson.

I'll give you $400 for the miller as the lower rt corner is dinged. And sorry...but I have no interest in the marichal as it's not vintage!

Final offer: my T206 Lenox Cobb for your CJ Johnson. Hurry up, or Heritage will re-list my unsold card in yet another auction. This time, I mean it.

Pete,

I want to thank you for spurning my trade offer. After careful consideration, I have decided that my Marichal is the one card in my entire collection that I could never part with at any cost.

Besides, I really had no chance at trading with you after seeing some of the other offers that you have gotten.

All this excitement over a CJ Johnson card that can be found at any antique show or flea market has really got me thinking about taking a break from the hobby now too...

I know I should be sleeping when I begin to JUAN, but the name alone brings back memories of another JUAN, yes, JUAN Samuel, who played for LA from 1990 to 1992. If my JUANing memory serves me correctly, I attended a game at Chavez Ravine in which JUAN knocked one out of the park in the early innings. On his next at bat, in the absence of a walk up song, I waited for a relatively quiet moment to deliver my cheer as loudly as possible.

"JUAN MORE TIME"

Unfortunately my exhortation failed and JUAN responded with

JUAN, TWO, THREE STRIKES YOU'RE OUT

at the old ball game.
