Did you guys see that Topps is now rehashing the 1914 Cracker Jacks series with modern players, even including vintage cracker jacks in packs and some real cracker jack in the box. After the redux of T206 last year (and T205 this year), what's coming next? E90-1 Jason Giambi?

Anyway, these things do look sort of cool for modern cards, and they're keeping the red background/fake green grass look of the originals, though I doubt they'll be done on the same thin cardstock.

Since a National Dealer has been buying up the Cracker Jacks for the past year, this isn't really the best kept secret...right Ben!

Hadn't noticed a lot of OJs in KY's catalogues, just the occasional one (which would sit for MONTHS!~). Guess I'd better get back to looking at them carefully.

2-3 from me. Also made inquiries as to some N284 HOFers.....I don't think they will bite on OJ's. Maybe so......2004 Upper Deck Vintage has Old Judges in them. 10 in regular set, 20 card subset as well. Then they have blue and red backs on them as well as black.

in the new Topps set (red and black backs)?

When you look at Runscott's OJ reprints under a 100X microscope, you see an even pattern of real bright pink and green elongated dots! (they're all sepia colored)

My brother and I have sold a ton of Old Judges to Kit Young over the past several months. We have talked to Kit and according to him all the cards he is buying are for a private collector with quite a bit of coin that is new to cards but fell in love with the Old Judge set and wanted to start a collection. Initially KY was paying pretty well, but his prices have been slowly dropping. Just FYI

I sold one to KY last week for a whole lot more than I thought it would go for. ($132.50 for straight VG common that was rebacked.) I'm not too familar with the N172 market, though.

Half the fun for me is the acquisition part of collecting. I don't know if having an instant collection would be quite as gratifying.

OJ styled cards of new players. Normal sized though. Red backs have sepia fronts. Rest are colored.
