Default You wanna see real autographs?

Signed in 1944 with the whole Athletics team on the inside cover including Connie Mack and Al Simmons. Babe etc were at the game that celebrated Connie Mack's 50th year in Baseball and signed the program.

Paul - I didn't attack you for posting - I was just asking. Like I said, it's a great piece.

The auto above Eddie Collins is the comedian Lou Costello...I got the piece about 10 years ago in my retail store. A regular customer had it but never mentioned it until he just brought it in one day. He sold it to me for 3500 which at the time was a pretty fair price. The program also includes the whole 44 Athetics team including Mack and Simmons. The story behind the piece is that his dad was in the military and on leave and attended the game. He was dressed in his uniform and asked for the autographs. I'm not sure who signed first the whole 44 team or Ruth, Wagner, Johnson, etc..Anyway, its my favorite piece that someday will be handed down to my two kids.

and with that kind of story/background to how it the signatures were obtained, it also serves to capture the feel for the Nation's attitude and gratitude towards its military men of the time. Very significant.
Thanks for sharing.
