Default August Pickups.

Added this to my 1909 Pirates collection. I have another one of these from the same location but taken during the game. This one is during the dedication ceremony presumably prior to the game. Thanks Murph for the heads up on this.

Default Cobb Photo

I bought the Cobb photo mainly because I thought it was an image used for a card. I could not recall the card until I came across this photo of the 1924 Willard Chocolate Card:

Picked up this 1929 Richard "Cannonball" Redding Contract. Been reading a lot about the Negro Leagues and thought it was a really cool piece.

Default Matty

Bought this and it had printers marks, carefully removed them (I guess that means I restored it )

I am going to frame it with my other military photos of Ruth and Cobb.

Just picked this up. It was filthy when I got it and the scroll that revolves through four scenes (BB, FB, bowling and golf) was completely trashed. I had a copy made of the same scroll I have in another Falstaff sign. I spent all day today cleaning it up and it's now maybe even a little better than new, thanks to a couple of updates I made to it.

Rob yes it is. It has an easel back and is close to 14"x19". The front is molded plastic giving it a 3D look. Sorry for the small photo from my phone.

Clint and Rob - both great pickups. Rob. don't you also have the lighted Giants team sign from the early '60's? It's also Falstaff, isn't it?

This is my fourth Falstaff sign. Falstaff was a big supporter of the Giants in at least their first four years in SF. They sponsored pocket schedules and 6x9 team picture postcards in all of those years.

I have been looking for this Ron Santo PM10 for several years and I wasn't about to miss this opportunity. They just don't turn up and were apparently produced in small quantities. I am THRILLED

That's a little different looking than your average PM-10. Were there other Cubs with that same font?

Clint,

I really like the Orioles National plastic easel sign. I have one that's similar that I picked up many years ago and it's one of my favorite O's signs.

Those Falstaff signs are some of my favorites and the new pickup is just awesome. I sure wish the O's had something like those, but unfortunately they don't. Those signs make for an excellent display in your Giants room!

Congratulations Mike on getting the Santo. The price sure has gone up since I found mine. And Rob, I have never seen another PM-10 like the Santo. Was probably made in very short supply in the 60's by someone who sold them at Wrigley.

Thanks Mark. I didn't even notice ours were different till I got it home and compared it to yours. Have you seen many and what do you value them at? Wonder what years they were made?

Looking in Paul Muchinsky's book, I see a similar pin of Luis Aparicio. I'm surprised to see only ten Cubs PM-10s in Paul's book.

That is so darn cool. Can you see it from the street? Can your neighbors see it?

Love those Falstaff & National Beer pieces.

I wish I found GU Bats at my flea market. Very nice!

I really don't know much about them so it's just a guess on my part, but I would think mid to late '60's. Mine had to be produced either after the '66 or '70 WS, but I would guess after the '66 Series. They loved the swinging bird with the crown on his head. I've probably seen 6-7 over the years of collecting. So it's fairly rare, but not to uncommon. At least to me, with the item being plastic the better the shape the more they are worth (at least to me). I would say 400-500 for one in nice shape. I think they are very cool!
