I am not interested in your site any longer. Please stop using my name in reference to the Sporting News Set. I'm right your wrong. End of discussion!

When I awoke today, I knew for a fact that some time, during the day, I would come across the words 'craphouse rat'. Thanks Adam!

I like "can of ham" better. In any event, that is the first time I have heard either of those sayings. Kudos Adam.

the "nuttier then a canned ham" phrase is a nonsensical one that I use around the house all the time. I deleted it because I didn't want to confuse poor Tom any worse then he is already. He seems to have a hard enough time understanding things like: "Don't post any threads on the board about the Ruth!"

Actually Julie, rats will eat just about anything. They've even been known to eat fake Sporting News Ruth's from time to time.

As long as the rats are consuming them there are less to be submitted to PSA.

I'm right your wrong

"I'm 2 sandwiches short of a picnic your [sic] wrong", you mean.

Tom's story goes that the card on the left below was re-submitted to PSA (why? - we don't know), who realized their mistake and sent it back (2nd picture) along with an offer of $700 to reimburse him. He decided that Joe Orlando himself had swapped his real card for a fake one.

Bonus nuttiness: the top secret "Ruth rookie" that Tom found & no one will acknowledge. It's a video capture from "Pride Of The Yankees", as it turns out.

I believe that PSA had a buyer for my Jim Thorpe card and the reason why is because when they contacted me in the very beginning they said NAME your PRICE. I never told any of you that I received an email which I still have today concerning my card not the one PSA sent back to me. Bill my card is just as real as you are, but if you say it's a fake well that your choice. Let me ask just one more question? I have not been active on this topic for sometime, but everytime The Sporting News set comes up my names and my pictures comes up on this forum. I find this extremely strange and even more interesting to say the least. Good evening!

One of my favorite expressions was from an old CPO I knew in the Navy. When someone didn't get it or did something stupid, he would say, "That boy is dumber than a box a rocks. Then again, that would be an insult to the box of rocks."

Jay

My place is full of valuable, worthless junk.
