Was anyone else as underwhelmed as I was in regards to what was offered in the Americana part of the MAstro auction? About the only really interesting piece was a copy of Mein Kampf signed Hitler. Other than that, there sure seemed to be a lot of hair up for auction. The selection of comics was incredibly weak, especially compared to the last auction, and the vintage toys were almost nonexistant. The same for any Native Ameircan pieces.

I've felt that their Americana is too narrow in scope and depth, and that there are a variety new and exciting areas they could go into and current areas they could expand. I have some (what I think are) nice non-sport items, but I never considered consigning because I never knew how they would fit between the Elvis record and the Teddy Roosevelt autograph.

But isn't it nice to know that whenever you want to buy a clump of hair from some dead famous person you'll know where to go.

I think I am in the wrong business. I need to get my stylist lisence and start doing J-Lo's hair. $1k a clip, plus all the money you make form selling the hair that falls on the floor.
