Default A.J. Reach & Co.

Good morning Net54ers,

As a supplement to my AntiqueFootball research on vintage football equipment I have, on occasion, written histories of sporting goods manufacturers. I just completed my fourth, which is on A.J. Reach & Co.

http://www.antiquefootball.com/a_j_reach.htm

As most of you know, Reach was first and foremost a baseball equipment manufacturer, and the company's history is interwoven within the lives of its founders, Al Reach and Ben Shibe. With most of my research being in early football history, there is a strong possibility that I may have left out or not appropriately conveyed salient facts about A.J. Reach's impact on the evolution of baseball equipment. I was hoping that those of you in the baseball collecting world might read the history and let me know if there is anything of importance that I may have left out or summarized inaccurately. Thanks to anyone in advance who takes the time to respond.

In addition to Reach, I had previously written histories on Draper & Maynard (http://www.antiquefootball.com/draper_maynard.htm), Wright & Ditson (http://www.antiquefootball.com/wright_ditson.htm) and Stall & Dean (http://www.antiquefootball.com/stall_dean.htm). I hope these may be helpful research for all vintage game used equipment in the future.
