Default Horizontal Cards

Posted By: Patrick McMenemy

After seeing a horizontal T5 Pinkerton Cabinet in Seth's 19th Century Only auction, I thought a thread showing how many different sets have horizontal cards might be interesting.

Let's see how many different sets we can display from
Pre-1920 issues.

I'll start with a Turkey Red showing Chief Meyers.

Glen,

What a great card - can you tell us something about your "big eater" -- is it part of a set?

There is a Plowboy tobacco horizontal of Rube Marquard that I used to own. It was great and I've been kicking myself for selling it ever since.

Isn't it great how PSA is consistent in the direction they slab these?

Anthony-Great cards. The Marquard is amazing along with the Gandil. It is pretty funny though how inconsistant they are in terms of the direction they put the card in.

Are the backs on the Cracker Jacks consistent in those slabs for the horizontal cards? I'm just wondering if they put them in the slab so the back would be right side up. I don't know if that makes sense for the CJs since there are cards with the backs upside down....but just a thought.
